“Five Stars! Comfort & Tears – Must Read! It has been a few years since I have read a book from the Chicken Soup series but when I saw ‘Living with Alzheimer’s & Other Dementias,’ I was compelled to pick it up. I highly recommend this book to anyone who has been touched by this awful disease or will at some point in the future. This book made me cry, laugh, smile and feel comforted as a person whose Grandmother battle Alzheimer’s. The stories were both tearjerkers and heartwarming. Share this book with family and friends – I know I will!!”

“Five Stars! Hope! I loved and needed to hear these stories. I am living these stories everyday. I loved the humor, the hope and the compassion of each of these authors!”

“Five Stars! Good thoughtful reading. I thought this book was very well written to include all phases of a disease that hardly any family will escape at some point in time. Very good thoughts on caring for, adjusting to and just being available at that stage of life. Also, it’s bette to laugh than cry and I did plenty of both.”

“Five Stars! Encouragement. Alzheimer’s is a devastating disease to both the sufferer and family. This book offers short stories of encouragement from those who have walked that road. Sometimes it helps just to know someone else has felt the same as you.”

“Five Stars! Each author told a story that was filled with compassion as well as gave the reader a sense of hope. Some stories made you cry, but for the most part each story was something you could relate to if you have been affected by any of these diseases. I love that all of the royalties of this book go to the Alzheimer’s Association which will hopefully put an end to these diseases in the future. This book is one that I will be donating to our church library so that others can benefit from reading it when they are going through a difficult time!

“Four Stars! Heart-warmingly helpful. We all feel comforted when we are not alone with our troubles. This book, offered some helpful insights into what is happening and what may come when coping with Alzheimer’s / dementia & our loved ones. I would read one story at a time in this book and then meditated on it, talked to my mom about it and moved on to the next story. Many of the stories moved me to tears. I appreciate this book for honestly bringing awareness to what our lives are like. Hopefully the shame, heartache and overwhelm people feel will be replaced by giving the caregivers the ‘tools’, confidence and hope needed to lovingly, mindfully care for our afflicted families. This book is a start.”
